Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and specialises in personal injury law. He has a wide range of experience in dealing both accident claims and claims for occupational disease, including repetitive strain injuries and work related stress. He has also dealt with high value claims for the victims of exposure to asbestos.

He is a member of the both the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. He has given talks to Trade Union officials on matters relating to personal injury law.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys motorcycling and skiing and has travelled extensively.
